Balloons By Phony Express, LLC is Columbus' longest established balloon company, founded in 1981 as Phony Express Singing Telegram & Balloon Delivery*, the city's first combined balloon company and singing telegram service. Shortly thereafter, the need for a high quality decorating service rapidly became apparent.

Now in our 38th year, specializing exclusively in balloon decor for the events industry, we are dedicated to creating top quality balloon art for corporation events, conventions, trade shows, grand openings and company celebrations. In addition to “traditional” balloon decor, we take pride in being able to offer amazing balloon sculptures, special effects, lighting, signage, and various theme props into our work.

As well as serving the central Ohio area, Phony Express has had the opportunity to work in Europe, creating decor for Princess Caroline's Garden Club of Monaco on their 25th anniversary. We have also designed for visiting presidents, vice-presidents and other prominent political and media figures. Our stage decor has been featured in traveling productions for Barney, Sesame Street, and Thomas The Tank. In 1992, we were voted as one of the top fifteen balloon artists by a leading industry publication.

Princess Caroline, President of the Garden Club, enters with her brother, Prince Albert, for the floral competition. The event was followed by a banquet at the Sporting Club of Monaco with Prince Rainier, the Royal Family, competing floral artists and visiting "Balloon Artists from America", Jean and Paul Cavanaugh.
